This site is created and maintained by Shannon Gunn, music technology and finance teacher at Woodbridge Senior High School. She teaches by day and plays jazz trombone in the metropolitan DC area by night. Shannon is currently working on applying to a Masters Program in Instructional Design and Technology from George Mason University. She wishes to share all her worksheets, unit plans, and resources as much as possible! She also has a Teachers Pay Teachers store where she uploads quality files for teachers. She has an undergraduate degree in Music Industry from James Madison University, a certificate to teach K-12 music from Michigan State University, and a Masters in Jazz Studies from George Mason University. She first became interested in finance when she took Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University class at their local church. It was this class that taught her how to save, budget, invest, and become financially secure over the last three years. She is now certified to teach Business and Music and plans to continue doing so as long as she is able. She drives a car with 340,000 miles and tries to maintain a debt-free lifestyle. She has been in a place where it seemed she would never get out from underneath the money woes and debt she built up in her late 20s, but now is on track to become completely debt free around the end of 2016. She has a passion for inspiring others to live a debt free lifestyle and works hard to keep her car running for the long run. Shannon Gunn is NOT a financial advisor, nor does she have a degree in finance, nor does she have a certification as a Financial Planner. However, through life’s lessons and a lot of hard work, she has learned some great financial lessons she hopes to share with her students and other Finance teachers!
